2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials

June 21 - June 30, 2024

The University of Oregon is pleased to host the Olympic Trials this year. Final transportation event planning is very dynamic due to the size of the event. This website will continue to post updated information if / when conditions change.

Attendee Information

Transportation Services has a supporting role during the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Primary event transportation and parking information will be available on the TrackTown USA website. More information to come.

PeaceHealth Rides

The Eugene/Springfield area has hundreds of blue bicycles available for self-service rental from hubs throughout the cities, many of which are adjacent to free parking (Skinner's Butte, Lane Events Center, YMCA, Amazon Park, downtown Springfield). Bike Valet

The bike valet will be located on Gerlinger lawn off University and 15th. More information can be found on the the event website.

Event Shuttles

Park your vehicle at Autzen Stadium (2700 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Eugene, OR 97401) and ride the free spectator shuttle to the event. Shuttle operation times are available on the event website.

Public Transit

Public transit in Lane County is provided by Lane Transit District (LTD). Operating every fifteen minutes, the Emerald Express (EmX) line stops a short walk away from Hayward Field. For schedule, fare, and other information please visit the Lane Transit District website.

$10 per day
An 8 minute walk to Entry B at Hayward Field.
No advance purchase necessary.

Employee and Student Parking Impacts

Preparations for the upcoming Olympic Trials will begin on June 16th. During this initial phase, there will be limited impacts to permit holders. However, starting June 18th, these impacts will increase to include the closure of some UO parking lots.

  • June 16-July 4: 38 closed.
  • June 18-June 30:  Lots 30, 34A, 34C, 34E, 46, 55, and half of Lot 51 closed
  • June 19-June 30: University Street South closed
  • June 21-June 30: Lots 37, 43, and all of University Street closed
  • June 29:  Lot 33 closed

During this time, all UO permits will be honored in the R Zones, located on the east side of campus. ADA and reserved space parking will remain available to permit holders throughout the event. Simply present your UO ID to event staff to access these spaces.
