2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials

June 15 - June 29, 2021

The University of Oregon is pleased to host the Olympic Trials this year. Final transportation event planning is very dynamic due to ongoing changes of COVID protocol. This website will continue to post updated information if / when conditions change.

Attendee Information

Transportation Services has a supporting role during the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Primary event transportation and parking information will be available on the TrackTown USA website.

PeaceHealth Rides

Bike Valet

Located on Agate Street at the northeast corner of Walton Hall, a free bike valet provides a convenient place to park your bicycle while attending the event. The bike valet operates on competition days and opens with the main spectactor gates and closes 30 minutes after the last daily competition.

Event Shuttles

Park your vehicle at Valley River Center (293 Valley River Center) and ride the free spectactor shuttle to the event. Shuttle operation times are available on the event website.

Public Transit

Public transit in Lane County is provided by Lane Transit District (LTD). Operating every ten minutes, the Emerald Express (EmX) line stops a short walk away from Hayward Field. For schedule, fare, and other information please visit the Lane Transit District website.

Hourly Parking - Millrace Garage

Hourly parking at $2/hr up to $18 maximum for the day.
An 8 minute walk to Entry B at Hayward Field.
No advance purchase necessary.

Daily Parking - OIympic Trials Spectator Visitor Permit

Day permit valid from 7am - 6pm at $11/day. Valid in lots 52, 53, 54, & 59 only. 
An 11 minute walk to Entry B at Hayward Field. 
Visitor permits can be obtained by:

  • Going to Transportation Services Parking Portal.
  • Choosing "Order Visitor Permit".
  • Selecting "Olympic Trials Spectator Visitor Permit".

Employee and Student Parking Impacts

Event parking closures started on May 30 with limited impact to University of Oregon permit holders. Starting June 15, these impacts will increase to include closure of some UO parking lots.

  • June 15: 29A, 30, 34A, 34E, 37, 38, 39, 43, University St, and 200 spaces in the 13th Ave Garage
  • June 17: 29A, 30, 34A, 34E, 37, 38, 39, 43, 46, 55, University St, and 200 spaces in the 13th Ave Garage 
  • June 29: Lots reopen

During the event, Reserved Space holders and ADA parking will be open to UO permit holders. You should be prepared to show your UO ID to event staff. Transportation Services will also have dashboard permits available to certain Reserved Space holders that need them. We will be in contact with those individuals directly.
