Motor Pool Update

Beginning July 1, 2025, the University of Oregon will fully assume motor pool operations. To support this transition, a UO vehicle reservation survey has been created that will accept summer requests for UO vehicle rentals occurring between July 1 and September 30, 2025. 

For reservations ending on or before June 30, 2025, UO members will continue using the already established Oregon State University reservation system.

Now to June 30 - OSU Reservation System

OSU Reservation before June 30

UO members will continue to use the OSU’s reservations system to rent vehicles from the OSU fleet at the UO motor pool facility in Glenwood. Reservations for trips ending before June 30 should be submitted through OSU’s system.

Please review the list below to confirm drivers are certified to drive an OSU vehicle.

July to September - UO Reservation Survey

UO Reservation July to September

UO members may begin submitting summer vehicle rental request for the new University of Oregon fleet. Reservations for trips occurring between July 1 and September 30, 2025 should be submitted using the UO reservation survey. 

The university has ordered 41 vehicles, with most expected to be delivered in March. However, the Toyota Corollas are scheduled to arrive in June.

Below is an overview of the fleet on ordered: 

  • 6 - Toyota Corolla Hybrid Sedans
  • 4 - Toyota Sienna Minivans
  • 6 - Ford AWD Escapes
  • 4 - Ford F150 Trucks (two with canopies)
  • 21 - Ford 12-passenger Transit Vans

While the rates are still pending approval, the following pricing can be used for planning (pricing includes fuel costs):

  • Toyota Corolla Hybrid Sedans: Daily: $39.00, Monthly: $550.00, Mileage Fee: $0.25 per mile
  • Toyota Sienna Minivans: Daily: $73.00, Monthly: $1,020.00, Mileage Fee: $0.36 per mile
  • Ford AWD Escapes: Daily: $70.00, Monthly: $980.00, Mileage Fee: $0.25 per mile
  • Ford F150 Trucks: Daily: $84.00, Monthly: $1,180.00, Mileage Fee: $0.48 per mile
  • Ford 12-Passenger Transit Vans: Daily: $137.00, Monthly: $1,920.00, Mileage Fee: $0.40 per mile

Reservations October 1st

The University of Oregon is in the process of acquiring new vehicle management software to support motor pool operations. Once implemented, this software will serve as the primary system for accepting and managing vehicle reservation requests. However, while this system is being set up, the UO Motor Pool has created a Qualtrics survey to accept reservation requests for July 1 through September 30, 2025.

The UO Motor Pool will begin taking reservations for October 1 and onward once the new vehicle management software is established.
