Program Update
The UO Uber Night Rides program is now active! Look for an email invitation from Uber in late October 2024 to claim your program voucher.
The UO Uber Night Rides program offers students discounted Uber rides from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This program is funded by the Associated Students of the University of Oregon and is available to all incidental fee-paying students while funding permits.
Program Details
- Up to 4 rides per month
- $7 discount per ride
- Every day, 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Ride must start or end in the coverage area (see below)
- This program may be modified during the 24-25 academic year
How to Sign-Up
Incidental fee-paying students will receive an invitation in their UO email from Uber Business, inviting them to join the UO Uber Night Rides Program. Once you follow the simple steps to sign up, the Uber Night Rides discount will be automatically applied to eligible rides. Don’t yet have a Uber account? Download the app and create an account to get started.
This program will be available to eligible UO students through the Spring Term/Semester, as long as funding permits, and it is subject to change or end early. You will be notified about any changes in the program, should they arise.
Tips for Riding with Uber
- Verify your ride by making sure the license plate number, driver information, and car make and model match what you see in the app.
- Share your location and route with a friend or loved one from within the Uber app so they can follow your ride in real time.
- Follow the Uber vehicle on GPS via the app.
- Ask the driver to say who they are picking up.
- Learn more about how to ride smart with Uber.
Additional Program Information
- Only incidental-fee paying students are eligible for this program.
- If you request a ride that doesn’t meet the criteria, you will not see the discount shown on your ride confirmation screen and you will pay out of pocket.
- Prices may be impacted by distance, traffic, time of day, special events and prime time surcharges.
