Ground Transportation
Traveling by bus or train is usually the cheapest and most comfortable way to get to and from Eugene. Although specific amenities vary by service, Amtrak and most bus companies now provide power outlets, wifi, and onboard bathrooms. Below is a list of the options serving Eugene.
Amtrak
The train tends to be the roomiest travel option, with the most onboard amenities offered. Amtrak can accommodate more baggage than other services, and might be the best choice if you're traveling with more luggage than normal. There are two train routes serving Eugene. Amtrak Cascades runs from Eugene north to Seattle with stops in many cities along the way. The Coast Starlight route runs from Seattle to Los Angeles, with a stop in Eugene.

- Board an LTD bus going to Eugene Station
- While multiple routes go downtown from UO, the EmX Bus Rapid Transit comes every 10 minutes
- From Eugene Station, walk six blocks north on Willamette street
POINT Cascades
The State of Oregon funds a bus service to supplement Amtrak service between Eugene and Portland. Running four trips a day, tickets are sold through the Amtrak website and the bus stops right on the University of Oregon campus.

Within Lane County
Lane Transit District (LTD) provides bus service to communities near Eugene: Springfield, Coburg, Creswell, Cottage Grove, Lowell, Junction City, Veneta, and McKenzie Bridge. All these routes all included in the UO bus pass. See details on their website.
Diamond Express provides bus service between Eugene and Oakridge.
Link Lane provides bus service between Eugene, Florence, and Yachats.
Airport Connections
Eugene Airport (EUG)
Travel options to the Eugene Airport include ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft.
Portland Airport (PDX)
Travel options to the Portland Airport (PDX) include taking the Amtrak train or intercity buses (see above details) to Union Station in downtown Portland, and then taking public transit or ride-hailing services to the Portland Airport. Groome Transportation no longer offers service in Eugene, but does offer shuttles that run from Albany and Corvallis directly to the PDX airport.
